Job Title: Low Voltage Technician

Job Description

We are seeking two dedicated Low Voltage Technicians to join our team and perform low voltage electrical installations at Riverside Medical Center and potentially at NN City Center. This role focuses on access control installations and security camera setups. The position is primarily based at Riverside Hospital in Newport News, VA.

Responsibilities

  • Perform low voltage electrical installations including access control systems and security camera setups.

  • Install and connect card readers, locks, and related hardware.

  • Troubleshoot access control systems at Riverside Main Hospital.

  • Provide excellent customer service, interacting professionally with clients.

  • Ensure all work is completed in a timely and efficient manner, adhering to project deadlines.

Essential Skills

  • Must have low voltage experience.

  • Be or become DCJS certified.

  • 2+ years of experience in construction.

  • 2+ years of experience in pulling wire, installing, and terminating CAT 5/6 cables.

  • Experience with multi-meters, security camera systems, and access controls.

  • Commercial or marine experience is required.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • People skills and customer service experience are highly valued.

  • Ability to work independently and manage tasks efficiently.

Work Environment

You will start your day at 8 AM and finish by 5 PM, Monday through Friday, generally without significant overtime. As work is conducted at Riverside Medical Center, a professional presentation is required. You will need reliable transportation to commute to job sites.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Newport News, Virginia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $32.00/hr.
