DHT Dave Hausbeck Trucking Diesel Technician in Newport, Michigan
We are actively pursuing experienced diesel mechanics/technicians who want to work at our repair facility in Newport, MI. The position is full time.
The Diesel Mechanic will be working on a variety of heavy trucks and trailers ranging from OTR sleepers to Live Bottom Trailers, including troubleshooting and repair: electronic, fuel, ignition, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. While the technician will be working mostly independently, all technicians are expected to be able to work within a team environment to accomplish major projects efficiently and effectively.

In this Diesel Tech role, you will:
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic issues. Ability to test and make adjustments.
- Perform regular preventative maintenance on machines, equipment, and facilities.
- Identifies mechanical problems visually and/or with computer or shop provided diagnostic equipment.
- Perform diagnostics on specific components and systems to determine proper operation.
