About the Role

The Regional Manager, Program Launches, will monitor, measure, and support all launch activities within the MML Americas region. This role will mentor and coach Program Managers and divisional leads to ensure a flawless launch is realized.

Your Responsibilities

  • Facilitate and ensure onsite launch readiness audits are scheduled and the process requirements are completed.

  • Ensure new product launches meet key milestone dates, launch KPI’s, test incidents, customer rejects and high-risk items are tracked by status, timing, and actions to be closed.

  • Facilitate monthly Launch Readiness Report to senior leadership with program manager, cross functional team and divisional management using a standardized launch readiness format.

  • Evaluate launch success for high risk or high impact programs using standard scoring model.

  • Facilitate transfer of knowledge and lessons learned from previous and ongoing launches to other divisions and provide leadership and direction on specific launch issues.

  • Maintain a Global Launch Readiness Scorecard with all new product launches with open issues of actions defined and timing to close issues..

  • Ensure the “Red Flag” and escalation processes are utilized to escalate critical launch issues.

  • Provide coaching to Program Managers as needed to improve their skill sets and launch performance.

  • Evaluate talents of Program Managers and provide feedback to management team.

  • Recommend training tools for divisions to improve talent in Program Management.

Who we are looking for

  • Previous experience managing program managers in lighting, mirrors or mechatronics commodities preferred

  • Must possess moderately advanced Microsoft Office (Work, Excel & PowerPoint) skills; must be/become proficient in company and customer systems.

  • Must possess strong interpersonal skills (oral & written communication and persuasion skills) to build relationships with key stakeholders.

  • Excellent leadership ability with analytical and practical problem-solving ability

Your preferred qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in Program Management, Sales, Engineering or Operations in the automotive industry.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration or equivalent combination of work experience and education.

  • Professional certification in Program Management preferred.
