Aston Carter Human Resources Generalist in Newington, Connecticut

Description:

We are seeking an HR Generalist to join our team on a CONTRACT basis, starting ASAP until March 2025. The HR Generalist will play a key role in supporting various HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HR best practices and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full recruitment cycle, including job postings, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.

  • Provide guidance and support to employees on HR policies, procedures, and programs.

  • Handle employee relations issues and conduct investigations as needed.

  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.

  • Coordinate and facilitate employee training and development programs.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HRIS data.

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.

  • Support performance management processes, including performance reviews and goal setting.

  • Participate in HR projects and initiatives to improve HR processes and employee experience.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • 3+ years of experience in an HR Generalist role.

  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices and employment laws.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

  • Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
