Quality Inspector (Hot Inspector) ($28+HR)

DIRECT HIRE - Aerospace Industry

Job Description

As a Quality Inspector, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and precision of our aerospace components. You must be open to working all shifts and will be responsible for inspecting, checking, and measuring forgings for defects and conformance to specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect hot forged metal off the furnace and various aerospace parts such as blades, wheels, bearings, and hub caps.

  • Report defects and assist operators in making necessary corrections.

  • Prepare forgings for inspection by sawing, etching, and filing.

  • Maintain the identity of stock forgings and keep detailed records and logs.

  • Load and unload preheating units, handle, lubricate, and manipulate stock and forgings.

  • Set, check, and adjust temperatures, and remove vents, projections, and defects.

  • Assist in the setup, reset, and adjustment of tools and equipment

  • Utilize industrial trucks to transport materials and report any deficiencies.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $58000.00 - $65000.00/yr.

Supplementary pay plan – in addition to salary OT is paid in blocks of 2 hours ($125), 4 hours ($250), 8 hours ($500)

• Will be paid $250/month for working 3rd (shift differential)
