Robert Half Accounts Payable Specialist in Newark, New Jersey
Description We are looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. This role is based in Newark, New Jersey, and involves processing full-cycle Accounts Payable, matching, batching, and coding invoices, processing and filing invoices, reconciliations, and handling discrepancies. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to utilize their skills in a dynamic environment and contribute to the financial operations of our team.
Responsibilities:
• Process invoices in a timely and accurate manner, matching them to the appropriate accounts
• Maintain and update customer credit records, ensuring they are accurate and up-to-date
• Handle account reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies that may arise
• Utilize software such as Microsoft Excel, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP for data entry and invoice processing
• Conduct check runs for accounts payable
• Code invoices correctly for the appropriate department or project
• Collaborate with the team to improve accounts payable processes
• Assist in other financial operations as needed, contributing to the overall efficiency of the team Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP)
• Experience with Account Reconciliation
• Familiarity with Check Runs
• Skill in Coding Invoices
• Data Entry competence
• Knowledge in Invoice Processing
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with Oracle software
• Familiarity with QuickBooks software
• Proficiency in SAP software
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Detail-oriented and high level of accuracy
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality
• Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
