Are you a problem solver with analytical skills? USB Service - Accounting is seeking an Accounting Specialist to join the Accounting Initiatives Team. This team supports strategic corporate initiatives by working with various stakeholders and IT resources to ensure the accounting mapping/process/controls are appropriate and adequately tested. The team also works to optimize accounting processes for improved efficiency and controls.
The current EWA for this position is Fully Virtual. While this position does not require your on-site presence on a regular basis, depending on business preferences, there may be occasions where you are required to be on-site at a Prudential office.
What you can expect:
Provide accounting project support, such as those that include US Business product launches, product changes, regulation changes, changes to the Financial System Architecture, and requests from Corporate Finance & Treasury
Develop project plans, test scripts, conduct testing for various accounting projects
Partner with leaders throughout Financial Operations in support of internal projects
Provide guidance to Accounting Team for escalated issues or problem resolution as necessary
Gather data for both internal and external auditors
Identify process improvements and initiate projects to optimize current Accounting processes
Collaborate across the organization in Sprints, PI Planning, data gathering, and working sessions
Review and document business requirements, and functional & technical specifications related to Accounting
What youll need:
Bachelors degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent work experience
4-5 years of operations or accounting experience
Ability to review and analyze accounting requirements, including the review of a BRD (Business Requirement Document)
Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills
Independently manage multiple projects with high attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Collaborative and partnering skills with the ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment
Strong Microsoft Excel and Office Skills

The salary range for this role is from $71,100.00 to $105,900.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance. In addition, employees are eligible for standard benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental and retirement.
