Job Title: Valuation Control Analyst

Location: NYC

Job Type: 12+ months, possible extension

Description: Join our dynamic team, where you'll play a vital role in supporting the Municipal Markets and Banking business. As a Valuation Control Analyst, you'll be at the forefront of ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial reporting infrastructure across a diverse range of products including Municipal bonds, Securitizations, TRSwaps, Muni Credit Derivatives, and IR Derivatives.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Maintain rigorous controls to safeguard financial integrity

  • Conduct independent analysis for various trading desks, covering both liquid and illiquid securities, structured products, and derivative interest rate and credit products

  • Complete monthly and quarterly reporting, including Independent Price Verification processes

  • Provide technical expertise to enhance valuation analysis tools

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Front Office, Trade Support, Technology, Market Risk, and others to ensure End to End process alignment

  • Identify control gaps, implement enhancements, and drive proactive change initiatives

  • Liaise with global teams and stakeholders across the organization

  • Undertake ad hoc projects and finance initiatives to optimize processes and strengthen controls

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 5+ years of Valuation Control and Analyses experience

  • Previous exposure to CFO and valuation control processes across Securities and Derivatives, preferably Credit-related

  • Understanding of fixed income and structured products

  • Proficiency in Excel; VBA and/or SQL skills are advantageous

  • Ability to grasp the impact of IT developments on financial processes and contribute to their implementation

Pay Details: $70.00 to $75.00 per hour
