Wells Fargo Sustainability Strategy & Initiatives Leader in NEW YORK, New York

About this role:

Reporting to the head of Sustainability, this position will lead a small team and is responsible for driving strategic initiatives as well as operational excellence across the sustainability team. Recognized as a trusted advisor, this individual will collaborate across lines of businesses to integrate sustainable practices and other sustainability-related initiatives. This position can sit in Charlotte, NC ; New York, NY or San Francisco, CA and offers a hybrid work schedule. The Wells Fargo job profile is Business Execution Director .

In this role, you will:

  • Serve as a trusted advisor and strategic counselor to the head of Sustainability

  • Develop the enterprise sustainability strategy and related strategic initiatives (i.e. benchmarking, stock materials, talking points and narrative)

  • Manage high priority projects that impact groups inside and outside the immediate team

  • Prepare high quality materials to support executive and board meetings, as well as training materials

  • Oversee major internal sustainability forums and committee engagements

  • Manage ESG-related impact reporting and develop content to support the integration of sustainability

  • Lead the bank’s peers benchmarking and trend monitoring for stakeholders and ESG raters/rankers

  • Ensure risk and control processes are well managed, including oversight of all RCSA efforts and serve as the RAU owner

  • Oversee day to day operational activities, including budgets, third party/vendor contracts and business continuity planning

  • Lead and coach a small team of geographically dispersed professionals

Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, including Management or leadership experience, or equivalent experience demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

  • 4+ years of management or leadership experience

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience leading sustainability-related projects and driving change management initiatives

  • Experience leading change in an organization’s culture and strategy

  • Experience with ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) reporting

  • Experience supporting sustainable, clean energy, and climate finance initiatives

  • Experience building strong relationships and collaborating across large organizations

  • Experience presenting information in a manner that persuades, and influences decision makers

  • Experience designing processes focused on managing and mitigating operational risk

  • Experience leading, high-performing geographically dispersed teams

Office Locations & Pay Ranges:

  • 401 South Tryon Street - Charlotte, NC ($144,400 - $300,000)

  • 150 East 42nd Street - New York, NY ($144,400 - $300,000)

  • 333 Market Street - San Francisco, CA ($144,400 - $300,000)

Pay Range

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.

$144,400.00 - $300,000.00
