Job Title: Survey Project Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Survey Project Manager to oversee quality control of all survey documents, including survey plans, record plots, and metes and bounds descriptions. The role involves reviewing title commitment reports and providing construction layout services. This position requires administering surveying activities, managing staff, technical resources, and client communications for multiple projects.

Responsibilities

  • Provide weekly progress and status reports on project deliverables to stakeholders and management.

  • Administer surveying activities, including staff oversight, technical resources, and client communication.

  • Prepare and execute quality control reviews, safety, and quality assurance procedures.

  • Effectively convey our Integrated Business Model in business development discussions.

  • Initiate and participate in business development activities to partner with new and existing clients.

  • Seek opportunities to increase client satisfaction and deepen client relationships.

  • Monitor project budgets and ensure project profitability.

  • Prepare and review project billing reports for monthly invoicing.

  • Collaborate with the accounting department on account collections.

  • Create and maintain the company’s presence and leadership in the market.

  • Develop staff and prepare contracts.

  • Strive to exceed client expectations and build solid relationships.

  • Be accountable for meeting project goals and deadlines.

  • Champion our brand, values, and culture with a positive attitude, dress, and demeanor.

  • Exemplify the highest level of commitment.

  • Work the necessary hours to achieve project goals.

  • Perform any other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum of 8 years of survey experience.

  • Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D.

  • 2 years of Survey Tech experience.

  • Proven track record of business development and leadership.

  • Excellent communication, diplomacy, and listening skills.

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents and drawings.

  • Ability to operate technical software, spreadsheets, and other business applications.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Proposal and RFP experience (Plus).

  • Experience in monitoring project budgets (Plus).

  • Business development experience (Plus).

  • Experience with topographic surveys.

  • Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) required.

  • Bachelor's Degree is preferred.

  • Ability to relate to clients and people at all levels of the organization.

Work Environment

Working conditions for this position are typical of a professional office environment and are mostly sedentary. The position is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions. Close visual acuity is required for activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, and extensive reading. The role may incur mental stress due to time deadlines and demands from both internal and external sources. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $130000.00/yr.
