Project FIND’s mission is to provide low- and moderate-income and homeless seniors with the services and support they need to enrich their lives and live independently. Today Project FIND operates three supportive housing residences that are home to about 600 people and four senior centers with over 3,000 members. Job Summary:The Senior Program Director (SPD) for Hamilton OAC supervises the Senior Assistant Director, maintenance staff, volunteers, interns and works with the Food Service Manager for optimal function regarding the kitchen staff and meal programs. The SPD also administers daily operations, which include program and food service provision. The SPD is also responsible for ensuring that program deliverables and outcomes are successfully achieved and must also be able to identify specific community needs, while overseeing compliance with agency policies and government regulations. The SPD must work with staff to ensure that applicable data collection and reporting procedures related to deliverables/outcomes required by NYC Aging and other funders are managed successfully.Responsibilities:Successfully manage, direct, and supervise daily OAC operations, including lunch, dinner and grab and go meal services, activities/programs, staff, volunteers and interns for both the Hamilton main site and the Hamilton Annex.Manage programmatic interventions with staff, consultants, volunteers and interns.Manage data collection and tracking procedures and monitor deliverables respective to Hamilton OAC for monthly submission to funders.Collaboratively coordinate with the Database Manage to update and share relevant data as directed for all Project FIND OAC’s.Supervise program administrative procedures and contract reporting.Ensure full compliance with Project FIND, State, County, NYC Aging, and NYS DOHMH protocols, regulations, and standards.Coordinate NYC Aging Geriatric Mental Health (GMH) and Caregiver Program contract needs and requirements with the respective agency.Identify, establish, and maintain partnerships with senior employment programs, work experience programs, local high schools, colleges/universities, and other community-based partnerships across all PF OACs; this includes submission and management of paperwork associated with these partnerships/collaborations. Collaborate with the assigned Food Service Manager to ensure that NYC Aging protocols and standards are followed, and that program remains compliant with city, state and funder congregate meal rules and regulations.Work collaboratively with the Director of Development and External Affairs to coordinate information across OAC programs, on the creation/design of mixed media advertisements, announcements, and other special projects.Work collaboratively with the Director of Community Services (DCS) on your annual professional development plan and performance evaluation process.Support staff growth and ensure professional development plans are created and implemented for your team, as well as manage the performance evaluation process for individuals under your supervision.Other related tasks and duties as assigned by the DCS.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in the social services field and two (2) years of experience in a nonprofit setting including supervisory experience or 4+ years salaried experience in nonprofit program delivery, development, and management.Willingness to be trained on Project FIND and NYC Aging databases.S-95 Certificate of Fitness is required within 90 days of employmentKnowledge of NYC Aging compliance expectations and DOHMH nutrition and sanitation requirements. Knowledge of NYC Aging and DOHMH protocols for purchasing and safeguarding food, supplies, and equipment.Knowledge of strategies for controlling food costs, including details about purchasing, record keeping, and inventory control.Possess or be able to acquire NYC Food Handlers license.Knowledge of budget and financial management in the not-for-profit fieldExcellent organizational skills with an ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize activities and meet deliverables under deadlines.Capacity and a desire to gain new skills and knowledge to drive innovative programming.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking.Excellent interpersonal skills, an ability to identify and integrate the perspectives and needs of diverse constituents.Computer proficient, including Outlook, Publisher, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Schedule is 35 hours weekly Sunday-Friday 9:30am - 5:30pm.Project FIND participates in E-Verify, which confirms employment authorization through an electronic database maintained by the Social Security Administration and Department of Homeland Security. The E-Verify process is completed in conjunction with the Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification. E-Verify is not used as a tool to pre-screen candidates.
