Visual content like photography, video, 3D or graphic design is critical for Customers to understand and evaluate products in their online shopping journey. Our team is continually innovating and setting new industry standards for showcasing tens of millions of products across multiple countries. Amazon Selling Partners are recently Amazon internal category teams are key providers of product imagery. Our job is to build the right architecture and content evaluation infrastructure to ensure we provide best in class, consistent, informative and inspiring content to customers, regardless of contributor or content type.

The Amazon Visual Innovation Team is looking for a Senior Product Manager – Technical to define and implement the technical product strategy that delivers the best visual content available to customers.

A successful candidate will have a track record of defining, building, and delivering technology products, driven by data insights and usability studies. They are not afraid to challenge the status quo and are passionate about their Customers. The role requires an ability to dive deep into technical details, and work cross functionally to inform business, technology and UX roadmaps. This person will employ high judgement, influence internal and external stakeholders, and deliver results under ambitious timelines.

Key job responsibilities

  • Manage product end-to-end lifecycles, from customer research, through strategic and roadmap planning, to launch, product adoption and customer feedback

  • Partner with visual content designers, software developers, and category teams to deliver products based on roadmaps you create

  • Launch the vision, strategy, and roadmap and work with key stakeholders to deliver on that vision

  • Manage delivery of current products concurrently with future product planning

  • Implement the go-to-market plan and execution, working to ensure that internal teams have what they need to be successful and external content providers are aware of changes

  • Define goals and monitor key performance metrics to identify opportunities and improve product performance

About the team

This role is part of Amazon's Visual eXperience (AVX) team. Our mission is to provide a complete set of accurate, informative, and consistent visual content for every product in Amazon stores. We do that by acquiring and selecting the best content from Selling Partners and contributors, and augmenting or generating new content as necessary.

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience bridging technical and business teams to collect and refine requirements, prioritize incoming work requests, and ensure all committed work is delivered on time

  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

  • Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product

  • Experience performing statistical analysis of data using SQL, Excel and other tools

  • Experience in technical product management, program management or engineering

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $121,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
