Amazon Flex crowdsources independent contractors – called delivery partners – to coordinate deliveries to our customers. With Amazon Flex, individuals can now be their own boss delivering Amazon packages.

We are seeking a Senior Marketing Manager, Conversion, for Amazon Flex, to help drive customer activation and account creation of our delivery partners in the US. This is a high impact and exciting role which involves end to end ownership of delivery partner conversion strategy. In this role, you will work to implement and champion digital marketing and communications best practices and new innovative ideas, and at the tactical level, test and execute digital campaigns and iterate based on performance metrics, in order to increase delivery partner onboarding and activation conversion. You will employ a heavy bias towards automation, always looking for opportunities to drive the optimal customer experience and internal efficiencies in a scalable way.

Our ideal candidate is both creative and analytical. You are an expert user of marketing technology and automation tools, and have experience working with cross-functional stakeholders to build and manage multi-channel digital campaigns (e.g. email, mobile, app) that drive business performance. You are passionate about owning programs, testing and learning, scaling to create impact, and delivering results. You’ll use customer insights to develop a segmentation and targeting strategy, and rigorously test channel and media performance to drive app download, account creation and first package delivery. You will leverage your expertise to influence strategic plans, work tactically to execute them, and build mechanisms to communicate and work across teams. You are able to see the greater picture of how their scope impacts both upstream and downstream processes, and they excel at making data driven decisions that impact key stakeholders. You are customer obsessed and focused on delivering results with clear ROI. You demonstrate an ability to clearly communicate ideas and strategies, especially through written communication. You are an analytical thinker who loves solving problems. Experience in Excel is also required.

Key job responsibilities

• Develop Amazon Flex US onboarding vision and roadmap

• Work at the strategic level to champion bold and creative ideas and at a tactical level to ensure execution excellence of plans

• Analyze onboarding funnel metrics and develop strategic plans to improve conversion

• Design and deliver automated onboarding and activation lead nurturing campaign, that drives website conversion, app download, account creation and improves the waitlist to start package deliver

• Build, test and optimize deliver partner onboarding and account activation programs, making continuous improvements based on performance, trends, insights.

• Oversee the planning, execution, and optimization of Flex omni-channel campaigns, tailored at regional level

• Provide campaign performance analysis and reporting, and communicate and implement timely optimizations to drive results.

• Ensure Amazon Flex US meets delivery partner recruitment capacity targets by overseeing gap closing tactics and execution

• Maintain the day-to-day management and optimization of onboarding and activation campaigns, including the development, QA, deployment and reporting

• Drive collaboration with internal and external stakeholders including our central marketing team, BI, Science, and Product Tech teams to test and create the best onboarding experience.

• Develop and execute strategic initiatives and marketing improvements based upon program insights.

• Establish and maintain scalable processes, and develop and manage the maintenance of playbooks and assets

A day in the life

Driver engagement starts with onboarding. You will work to ensure as smooth and seamless of an onboarding experience for our drivers. The recruiting tech team manages the in-app UX, while you leverage the various communication channels to engage with drivers who are in the onboarding stage of the marketing funnel. In partnership with the recruiting tech team, you strive to address barriers throughout our onboarding funnel experience, which is all based in the Amazon Flex app, in order to increase onboarding yield and decrease the amount of time drivers spend onboarding so they can start driving.

About the team

The Amazon Flex NA Marketing team supports the Marketing, Activation, Communications, Recruiting and Onboarding across Canada, Mexico and the US. Our primary focus lies in cultivating lasting relationships with Amazon Flex delivery partners from the moment they are introduced to the brand, and every step along their journey with Amazon Flex. We work in tandem with the entire Amazon Flex network to ensure a wholistic, fluid experience for drivers as they are acquired, onboarded, and engaging with the Amazon Flex program.

Basic Qualifications

  • 6+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience

  • 7+ years of developing and managing acquisition marketing or channel programs experience

  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements

  • Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)

  • Experience in developing and managing acquisition marketing or channel programs

  • Experience with A/B testing

  • Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs

  • Experience driving direction and alignment with large cross-functional teams and agency partners

  • Experience designing and executing joint marketing plans with strategic alliance partners

  • Ability to work both strategically and tactically: the candidate will need to be equally at home building out a strategy doc and plan, as they are rolling up the sleeves and working on tactics.

  • Ability to deliver in tight timelines: the candidate is expected to be able to find answers and make decisions in tight timeframes, sometimes with incomplete data/information.

  • Ability to manage competing priorities under ambiguity

  • Analytical skills; can handle, synthesize and analyze large data sets, draw out and then communicate insights through concise, written documents

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $94,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
