Join us and build an extraordinary future.About This Role:Senior Analysts conduct innovative research and deliver advice through written reports, consulting, client inquiries, guidance and advisory sessions, and speeches. This Senior Analyst will be part of Forrester's financial services team, which conducts research into technologies that deliver product and business model innovation sought by banks, insurers, and wealth management firms.We are looking for an individual who has expertise in banking platforms (core systems, digital banking solutions, etc.), systems architecture, digital transformation, digital delivery models, and emerging technologies that advance our banking and technology clients' understanding of risk and opportunities in an ever-complex marketplace. How banks utilize technology to provide products and services to customers forms the nexus of our thinking and research.Candidates need a strong interest in and understanding of the business and technology issues facing banks throughout the world. They must possess a passion for conducting and writing research on these topics with curiosity, technology acumen, business practicality, and prescriptive advice. They must also have the confidence and the ability to present to and advise senior executives on these topics.Job Description:Senior Analysts work as part of a global team and collaborate with others across the entire Forrester ecosystem in all aspects of the job. They are expected to:- Develop a deep understanding of the top technology challenges banks face and the types of research assets that help them tackle these challenges.- Have a high level of familiarity with banking technology stacks and key technology providers to banks.- Conduct primary and secondary research into key aspects of the responsibilities of technology executives and tech architecture and delivery professionals at banks, including technology strategies, vendor selection, industry trends, and best practices on how to apply technologies to drive business outcomes. Our research includes interviewing financial services executives and other industry leaders, fielding online surveys, conducting briefings with technology and service providers, and analyzing Forrester and third-party data.- Support team members in research collaboration, idea development, and strategic thinking.- Partner with Forrester's lead digital business analysts to help define the future of digital delivery and services models for banks and their ecosystem partners.- Collaborate with the wider research team as well as experts in different focus areas from across Forrester's services and geographic teams to develop a complete context for topical trends, both providing input to their research and writing reports incorporating their expertise to develop a better view of the big picture.- Write several long and short research documents that convey innovative ideas. These reports typically: 1) introduce new thinking about successful strategies and best practices; 2) present strategic maturity assessments and improvement roadmaps; 3) compare new technologies or services and their potential to help clients solve their business challenges (e.g., via a Forrester Wave and/or Digital Experience Review evaluations); or 4) identify best practices that clients can leverage.- Support consulting engagements as a subject-matter expert to apply Forrester's research in the context of clients' specific business environments and help solve their problems through inquiry, guidance sessions, advisory, and project consulting.- Present at Forrester-sponsored and industry events and deliver client webinars.- Establish an industry presence as an influential speaker and thinker; build relationships with senior technology professionals as well as with the vendors that serve them and the journalists who cover the industry; and participate in vendor briefings and field press inquiries, as necessary.- Build a market presence via social media.- Support sales in client development discussions.Job Requirements:- A strong record of academic achievement: BA or BS degree at a minimum; MBA or MA is preferred.- Ten-plus years of experience in working in a technology-related role in the financial services industry, preferably for a bank, technology vendor, or consulting firm.- Commitment to the customer. Analysts are expected to take complex, disparate ideas and distill them into simple, provocative concepts, with the willingness to take a stand on key issues facing our clients.- Willingness to travel approximately 30% of the time.Please note that the base salary range listed here is inclusive of all potential US geographies; base salary will be dependent on an employee's primary working location and the employee's skills compared to the requirements of the role. At Forrester, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role.Base salary range: $106,606 - $222,251For employees based in Washington State, the percentage listed here is an estimated bonus target as a percentage of base salary.
