Robert Half Sr. Agile Project Manager in New York, New York

Description The Application Development Project Manager role is focused on delivering value for key business initiatives and is responsible for aligning efforts across various product/delivery teams.

Major responsibilities

  • Record project costs.

  • Lead planning, initiation and discovery activities across cross-functional teams and stakeholders to effectively manage program scope and execution of value delivery for key initiatives, communicate status of the project to senior management.

  • Mitigate risks, manage dependencies and remove roadblocks across the program by creating alignment and facilitating conversations.

  • Organize and execute pre-deployment user acceptance testing that is specific to the project.

  • Surface business objectives and desired outcomes, establish key results and monitor KPIs to show progress and measure the value of delivery.

  • Accurately make visualizations of project work across all teams.

  • Establish high-level goals and road map associated with their project.

  • Validate data and create reports.- Design, test, implement, and maintain updates within company databases and applications necessary to streamline/automate a business process, with the help of the development team.

  • Identify and analyze the risks associated with achieving the milestones for a project. Develop risk mitigation strategies.

  • Highlight waste and illustrate value delivered, facilitate workshops, process and value stream mapping activities to create awareness, document inputs/outputs of complex workflows, and understand dependencies

  • Lead the design, development and implementation of project policies and standardized processes to improve and/or establish best practices for efficiency and consistency.

  • Key point of contact for communication within stakeholder groups - responsible for establishing governance, proactively building awareness of the program and outcomes, and securing sponsorship. Requirements

-Skills 1. Experience leading the end-to-end implementation of CRM projects, from initiation to closure, with management of project scope, timelines, budgets, and quality standards 2. Employ an outcome-oriented approach to defining project goals and success criteria 3. Ability to manage cross-functional project teams, including internal resources and external vendors, ensuring efficient resource allocation and effective utilization 4. Employ an agile mindset, espousing transparency, continual improvement and customer centricity 5. Expertise in facilitating scrum ceremonies including backlog grooming, sprint planning, stand-up meetings, sprint review and retrospectives 6. Experience leading through influence without direct reporting lines 7. Possesses advanced customer service skills to support senior-level executive stakeholders 8. Experience leading high-visibility cross-functional technical projects 9. Experience working with and bridging the gap between internal teams and external implementation partners keeping the project on time and on budget 10. Expert reporting and escalation/visibility capabilities [project metrics/dashboards/status/etc 11. Practical experience working with multiple project management methodologies including at least one of the following: Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall, SAFe 12. Working with any project management organizational or visualization tools; examples could be Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Project, Asana, Monday.com, Trello, SmartSheet, Wrike, or Rally 13. Experience scheduling projects by breaking down large plans into smaller tasks 14. Ability to lead technical conversations and work with teams to prioritize work based on value delivered, and highlight risks to delivery and support of a product 15. Skills to work with business and technology stakeholders to understand and document objectives and requirements, translate technical requirements and solutions into business language and back 16. Disciplined in project management domains including risk management, stakeholder engagement, change management and quality assurance 17. Managing the flow of information to all stakeholders of the project from sponsors to users impacted 18. Experience developing, maintaining and distributing (as appropriate) standard project management deliverables including: requirements, project schedules, issues & action items log, and meeting minutes 19. Nice to have 1. Extensive knowledge of CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle CRM) and related technologies 2. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives 3. Experience participating in both front office and information technology teams -Qualifications 1. Prior positions as either a Project Manager or Scrum Master 2. A college degree is not required 3. Optional certifications are a plus: Certified Scrum Master (or equivalent), Project Management Professional or other related certification
