About the team

With this role you would get an opportunity to work with Merchant Global Sales and Onboarding Team. The onboarding team ensure we work solutions that are globally consistent and address the needs to consistently onboard business and commercial entities that are vetted and ensure all technology and servicing teams and solution consistently set themselves up to fulfil the services, giving each member huge exposure to all facets of the end-to-end value chain.

You will get a chance to design solutions that would use some of the cutting-edge technologies in AWS, OCP, Kafka, Angular etc but more critically find solutions to address the need to onboard effectively, fast, consistently, which in turn positively kick start the (new) merchant engagement with our business.

What you will be doing

Solution architecture belongs to the list of most important practices executed before any technology solution development begins. It is the practice of designing, describing, and managing the solution engineering in relation to specific business problems.

A solution architect is the person in charge of the practice and introducing the overall technical vision for a particular solution and its integration in the business operations. This goes far beyond the Technical Architect role, which is much more focussed on the engineering specific concerns and the software architecture.

The solution architect describes how different component of business, information and technology architectures are used in a particular solution. It is a critical channel between the enterprise architecture and the technical architecture. You create/facilitate/enable a solution, not just 'work' on it.

Your job:

  • Match the solution to the corporate environment
  • Generate a solution that meets the requirements of all stakeholders
  • Account for project constraints (scope, budget, technology, risks, quality, time, resources, ... to name a few)
  • Select the project technology stack, within the enterprise constraints, guidance, compliance, and regulatory requirements
  • Compliance with non-functional requirements

Daily activities:

  • Analyse the technology environment
  • Analyse the enterprise specifics and requirements by collaborating with Product, Enterprise Architecture and Technical teams across the organisation.
  • Create prototypes
  • Create Solution designs and guide the sprint teams to deliver those designs
  • Participate, influence the technology selection, yet roll-up your sleeves to get stuck in when needed.

What you bring:

Experience

  • At least 8 years in one or multiple IT areas
  • Strong and demonstratable experience in distributed systems that may span across several domains, clouds, data centers, etc.
  • IT infra and cloud development as well as on premises
  • Engineering and Software architecture design
  • Understanding of basic of Devops/ Network Infrastructure
  • Agile methodologies
