Introduction to the team
The Moss Adams Advisory Services - Software Applications Team is a custom software development team within Moss Adams Consulting, focused on building leading edge technology solutions for our clients. We build custom software solutions based on an iterative delivery model with an agile mindset. Typical projects include high end enterprise web applications, integrated with large SQL databases and enterprise systems. We use a variety of technologies such as C#, Java, .Net, ASP .Net, HTML5, JavaScript, React, Ruby on Rails, AWS and Azure Cloud Computing Services and several database technologies such as SQL Server, Oracle and MySQL.

As a Software Development Engineer in Test, you will be a key member of our software development team, delivering high quality software to our clients. You thrive on an integrated cross-functional team, partnering with Technical Program Managers, Architects, Analysts, Developers, and Quality Assurance Engineers. Responsibilities
Defines QA tasks on various projects (working with the Project Manager, Business Analyst, and Developers), including scope of testing, test strategy, test plans and test cases and provide time estimates for testing activities
Executes and coordinates project testing activities (functional, regression, integration, performance, etc.)
Utilizes ad hoc and manual testing strategies (black box and white box) as appropriate
Thoroughly documents test cases and test results using support test case management and defect tools
Understands client business and technology requirements, and develops tailored test automation solutions to validate client needs
Consults with Developers and other team members to design and implement automated functional and integration tests that validate database, middle, and UI layers of web applications
Leverages and extends existing automation test frameworks to implement and execute tests
Helps maintain and brainstorm new strategies for existing automation frameworks
Develops and executes SQL scripts to create test data for functional verification and to support load and performance testing
Works within defined project milestones and budgets
Identifies and analyzes technical challenges and impacts
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience required; major in computer science, information systems, business, finance, or accounting preferred
Minimum two years of hands-on Development, SDET, or QA test experience across all phases of the product lifecycle
Experience in testing complex desktop/web applications using the following technologies
Java / C# .Net / Visual Studio
JavaScript / jQuery / AJAX
Ruby on Rails
ASP .Net / HTML /HTML5 / CSS
SQL Server / Oracle / MySQL
Knowledge of Azure and/or AWS platforms preferred
Experience with Test Automation tools:
Selenium WebDriver
Puppet /Jasmin
Rest Assured
Postman
Visual Studio Test tools
Cucumber /Specflow etc.
Experience writing SQL queries for developing and loading test data
Hands-on experience with functional testing, integration testing, regression testing, mobile testing, big data testing, cross-platform testing, component testing, security testing, performance testing, UI/UX testing, A/B testing
Experience with design methodologies such as Object Oriented & Model-driven Architecture
Exposure to Behavior Driven Development
Expertise in the implementation and management of test tools: Test case management and defect tracking tools
Proficiency in writing test strategies, test plans and test cases
Ability to adjust test strategy to mesh with waterfall and agile development models
Ability to work in a self-driven, complex environment with multiple and changing priorities
Ability to handle confidential information
Strong documentation skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills; includes ability to proactively communicate issues, risks, status, etc. to various teams and management
Ability to collaborate with the entire team to deliver world class systems and consulting services to our clients
Expert knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Visio
Knowledge and experience with complex business processes such as equity plans, human resources, energy management, procurement and/or healthcare management is a plus
Up to 10% travel required
