Job Summary
GIS ( Global Information Services) Program Manager responsible for PMO, strategy, prioritization and communication for ongoing projects and needs for upcoming fiscal year to deliver on projects and application development defined by senior management and business needs. Work closely with GCIB PD, business stakeholders and GIS team to understand business needs
This function will report to the GIS Global Head and will work with Senior GIS management and stakeholders provide governance, project management and oversight. The goal will be to provide the team has all the information necessary to execute global strategic initiatives, tactical/BAU work and ensure effective daily operations. This person will have to have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to coordinate and influence within the team and across various organizations at MUFG. The scope will be global, supporting Americas, EMEA and APAC.
Major Responsibilities
Leadership/Strategic
MIS leader reporting to global head of GIS and member of GIS management team
Work with GCIB (Global Corporate and Investment Banking) PD (Planning Division)Tokyo and Technology leads for funding and resourcing of new projects as well as extension of existing projects
Ensure business stakeholders are informed of projects status and progress through steering committee
Coordinate with regional GIS Management teams to define prioritization of strategic book of work
Assist with appropriate documentation supporting projects
Collaboration
Coordinate with GIS development, business team and business stakeholders to help implement GIS projects and systems
Coordinate with GCIB PD, Technology PMO and Finance team budgeting of upcoming business projects
Provide reporting to Technology PMO for tracking projects status and progress
Project Management & Daily Activities
Document and manage overall book of work
Document and track entire list of projects across GIS.
Help analyze risks and mitigation for any projects tracking Amber or Red
Conduct appropriate meetings to track project/program status
Ensure proper communication of project status across teams and key stakeholders
Assist in the prioritization and resource allocation of all projects
Help with tracking budget and financials where appropriate
Provide project management and delivery support to GIS teams
Assist with appropriate documentation supporting projects including release notes, Go/No Go communications, etc.
Help define and ensure adherence to processes/procedures including user support, SDLC, incident mgmt, change mgmt, user access control/security groups maintenance, etc.
Prod and Non prod requests management
Participate in QA Testing – working closely with the developers
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of experience working with Financial Services & Banking organizations
Proven leadership track to run technology operations, global projects and support business users across the globe
Experience working with closely with development and business teams
Strong technical proficiency in architecture, application development and data management
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels and influence across various organizations in MUFG
Candidate must be able to continually assess and communicate appropriate status to senior management for proper decision making
The typical base pay range for this role is between $133K - $162K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
