How you'll make an impact:

The Senior Director of Experience Design, Growth & Identity, is a unique and inspirational product design leader with demonstrated experience designing UX for scaled products with millions of customers. This role reports to the Senior Vice President of Digital Experience Design.

The role is responsible for driving and executing the design strategy and delivery for growth, retention, commerce, profile and identity features across SiriusXM apps on all streaming platforms (mobile, web, connected devices including wearables, voice enabled speakers and devices, third party apps). The role delivers effective, cutting-edge experiences by leveraging listener/customer insights, market and industry insights, deeply understanding business and product objectives and partnering closely with other teams in technology and business partners across marketing, content, business development and our automotive organization.

As the Senior Director of Design, using business and product objectives, you'll deliver effective, differentiated experiences by leveraging listener/customer insights, market and industry insights. You will partner closely with technology and business partners across marketing, content, business development and our embedded automotive organization.

What you will do:

  • Lead the UX design team focused on Growth/Retention, Commerce, Profile, and Identity areas for SiriusXM/Pandora, delivering strategic, insights-driven leadership to optimize the user experience for two scaled, massive streaming music services in the United States.

  • Drive user acquisition and retention strategies, ensuring seamless and engaging user journeys from onboarding to long-term loyalty, with a focus on optimizing conversion and reducing churn.

  • Design and optimize commerce and subscription management interfaces, simplifying payment processes and enhancing the overall transaction experience.

  • Manage user profiles and identity features, ensuring secure and user-friendly access and personalization.

  • Leverage data and market research, including A/B testing, to inform design decisions and develop user-centered designs that align with customer feedback, business needs, and market trends.

  • Design and optimize the brand's marketing website, ensuring it aligns with marketing goals, engages users, and drives conversion.

  • Evangelize and lead strategy around design decisions and effectively influence senior-level stakeholders while representing a relentless focus on world-class UX Design that achieves business results

  • Operationalize innovation practices that proactively incubate and test breakthrough ideas in user experience for streaming music

  • Manage a team of designers to drive high performance and an engaged, collaborative employee experience

What you will need:

  • Proven experience leading cross-functional design teams in shipping exceptional consumer products at scale across mobile, web, consumer electronics, the connected home and emerging platforms.

  • Demonstrated leadership and cross-functional management skills, with the ability to navigate between detailed surface details to broader enterprise issues.

  • Excellent communication and evangelization skills, capable of inspiring and guiding a diverse team of UX designers as they design, model, document, analyze, plan, and build sustainable user experiences that lead to measurable results for listeners, content creators and advertisers

  • 15+ years of user experience design experience on digital and mobile-first products.

  • 10+ years of user experience design team leadership experience on digital and mobile-first products.

  • Experience in technology and media industries, with a focus on digital media and consumer internet businesses.

  • Demonstrated ability to attract, inspire, motivate and develop a team of world-class designers

  • Strong history of leveraging user research, usability studies, and A/B testing to drive successful product outcomes.

  • Expertise in web design, content strategy, and conversion rate optimization (CRO), particularly for marketing websites.

  • Experience with digital marketing collaboration, web analytics, and using CMS platforms to ensure consistent and effective web content.

  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to address tactical issues in the short-term while maintaining strategic vision for the long-term

  • Able to establish mutual respect and a collaborative working relationship with their peers and wider teams

  • Strong and recognized leader that people want to follow

At SiriusXM, we carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including your background and experience. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary. We expect the base salary for this position to be in the range of $184,400 to $240,000 and will depend on your skills, qualifications, and experience. Additionally, this role might be eligible for discretionary short-term and long-term incentives. We encourage all interested candidates to apply.
