Day to Day
The Legal Team is devoted to leading projects that guide Indeed's global infrastructure growth. We collaborate closely with many departments—including Sales, Product, Engineering, Procurement, Finance, and IT—to review legal issues and develop solutions that equip internal teams with the tools they need to succeed, while mitigating risk and exposure to the company. We are seeking a motivated Senior Corporate Counsel, Revenue Contracts to oversee negotiations and protect Indeed for revenue-generating agreements. You will serve as a trusted advisor to the Sales team, balancing legal risks with strategic opportunities. You will also be required to learn and have an in-depth understanding of Indeed’s full suite of product offerings, and the legal issues associated with each. You are tech-savvy, have exceptional project and people management skills, are comfortable working with people all over the world, and are passionate about problem-solving while showing great attention to detail.
Responsibilities
Draft, review, and negotiate agreements with Indeed’s clients
Manage the contract lifecycle, including drafting, amendments, renewals, and modifications
Partner closely with Sales teams to structure deals that align with revenue goals
Consult on complex agreements in collaboration with Product and Engineering
Partner with the Contracts Analyst team to ensure contract accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies, and collaborate on negotiations, redlining, and refining templates and processes to ensure effective contract execution.
Triage novel requests and appropriately escalate to other Senior Corporate Counsels or the Lead Counsel
Draft agreements or terms of service for new Indeed product offerings
Coordinate with Finance & Accounts Receivable to align payment terms
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and international laws
Monitor industry trends and regulatory updates to ensure contract terms remain attractive
Develop and refine policies and procedures to improve contract management and negotiation strategies
Give training and guidance to internal business partners on contract-related best practices
Skills/Competencies
J.D. degree and active membership in a U.S. state bar
5+ years of experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex commercial contracts
Excellent knowledge of contract law, corporate transactions, and revenue contracts
Experience in a technology or SaaS-driven environment preferred
Ability to work autonomously while managing many high-priority negotiations
Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to collaborate across teams
Take a collaborative, solution-driven approach to contracts and negotiations
Experience with technical contracts is a plus
Highly organized with a process-oriented mindset to streamline contract management

Austin, TX - 159,000 - 238,000 USD per year
US Remote 159,000 - 238,000 USD per year
NYC Metro Area 191,000 - 286,000 per year
San Francisco Bay Area - 199,000 - 298,000 USD per year
Seattle, WA 174,000 - 261,000 USD per year

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Indeed salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Indeed's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include quarterly bonuses, Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), a Paid Time Off policy, and many region-specific benefits.
