Financial Services Senior Corporate Accountant (JCSCANY) in New York, New York
Analyze and explain monthly balance sheet and income statement fluctuations and variances. Compile account information and prepare monthly journal entries. Prepare and maintain monthly account reconciliations. Establish formal GL closing and other accounting process procedures. Assist with compiling year-end external audit requests. Research important accounting issues and suggest the best practices and applications in accordance with accounting standards. Assist team with any ad hoc research, clean-up, and reporting projects. Work with various departments to streamline data flow and processes. Oversee accounting areas such as leases, internally developed software, and intangible assets. Work closely with external auditors on audit requests and with internal audits on SOX testing. Collaborate with various stakeholders including legal, finance, Finops, etc. Telecommuting Permitted. Salary Range: $110,120- $120,120 per year.Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or a related field (or foreign equivalent), plus three (3) years experience in the job offered, or in a related occupation.Job Site: 413 W 14th Street, New York, NY, 10014, United States.Position requires experience or education in each of the following skills:1.ASC 842: Lease Accounting;2.ASC 350-40: Internally Developed Software Accounting;3.Big 4 Public Accounting; 4.Excel, Oracle, SQL;5.Internal Controls / SOX Framework; and6.Technical Accounting Analysis / Memo Writing.
