The Team and Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Consultant to join our eDiscovery team within our Digital Investigation & Discovery group. This is a unique opportunity for an entrepreneurial, highly driven person with a well-rounded skill set to join the eDiscovery team, whose responsibilities extend beyond those of a traditional Senior Consultant. The ideal person for this role will not only have a strong grasp of eDiscovery methodologies, tools, and technologies but also be flexible and a strategic thinker able to take on a variety of tasks.

In this role, the Senior Consultant will be an integral part of our innovative eDiscovery initiatives, working closely with the Digital Investigation & Discovery group. The selected candidate will play a pivotal role in driving the success of high-profile projects and collaborating with cross-functional teams. From leading eDiscovery projects to providing expert advice on best practices, the Senior Consultant will be at the forefront of cutting-edge technology and legal strategies.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement day-to-day workflows to solve complex data-related challenges, aligning with senior-level objectives, and ensuring the success of eDiscovery projects.

  • Execute day-to-day tasks involving the identification, organization, collection, processing, review, and production of electronic data, actively contributing to the overall project success.

  • Prepare day-to-day summaries, data visualizations, written analyses, and other presentations to support senior leadership decision-making in the eDiscovery Senior Consultant role.

  • Manage time and tasks efficiently on a day-to-day basis, meeting client deadlines and supporting the broader goals of eDiscovery projects.

  • Participate actively in day-to-day internal and external meetings, providing valuable insights as a Senior Consultant in the eDiscovery field.

  • Generate consistent and thorough day-to-day documentation, ensuring compliance with industry standards and supporting project processes.

  • Engage in day-to-day communication with clients, leveraging strong interpersonal skills to ensure timely completion of tasks, establish project goals, and review associated costs.

  • Lead day-to-day efforts to ensure high-quality client work product across project teams, demonstrating expertise and guidance in the eDiscovery field.

  • Manage the day-to-day processing of collected data, including data culling, filtering, and reduction techniques, providing expertise in Nuix and Relativity.

  • Support the day-to-day document review lifecycle, utilizing various technologies to identify responsive documents and offering Relativity consulting services.

  • Advise clients on day-to-day leading practices for legal holds, ensuring compliance with legal requirements.

  • Oversee the day-to-day preparation and production of information for legal proceedings, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.

  • Implement day-to-day quality control measures throughout the eDiscovery process to validate data accuracy and defensibility.

  • Stay up-to-date with day-to-day eDiscovery software, tools, and emerging technologies to optimize workflows and enhance efficiency as a key responsibility of an eDiscovery Senior Consultant.

    Required Qualifications

  • B.S. or B.A. degree from a four-year accredited college or university in law, data analytics, information technology, economics, forensics, and/or additional related fields

  • 3+ years of experience in eDiscovery consulting

  • Strong knowledge of eDiscovery tools, document review platforms, and litigation support technologies.

  • Familiarity with legal and regulatory frameworks related to electronic discovery.

  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Ability to lead team-oriented projects and tasks within a fast-paced environment

  • Advanced decision-making and problem-solving skills under pressure, as well as a strong attention to detail

  • Strong work ethic, eagerness for continued development, and motivation to succeed

  • Ability to interact confidently with senior team members and clients

  • Ability to learn and demonstrate new technologies and workflows

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

    Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with eDiscovery tools including – but not limited to – Relativity, Disco, Nuix, Brainspace, Reveal, IPro, Concordance, etc.

  • Experience with database programming languages and/or forensic tools a plus, including – but not limited to – SQL, Oracle, Python, Visual Basic, Cellebrite, Encase, FTK, etc.

  • Experience supporting senior executives in eDiscovery matters.

  • Familiarity with data privacy and protection regulations.

  • Demonstrated success in managing large-scale eDiscovery projects.

    Physical and Mental Job Qualifications

  • Must be willing to travel locally and overnight, as needed (20-25%)

    A reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role is $85k - $100k. Any offered salary range is based on a wide array of factors including but not limited to skillset, experience, training, location, scope of role, management responsibility, etc.
