Job Description:

The TDS Technology Factories drive and report the delivering of strategic or transformational imperatives towards completion across TDS and TBSM technology organization.

The TDS Risk and Audit Factory Lead is responsible for leading and managing the TDS Risk and Audit Factory function accountable for tracking and delivering of thematic/systemic technology audit findings, risk issues, including enterprise driven initiatives supporting TDS business segment in alignment with TD enterprise technology and cyber security standards and compliant with enterprise practices and solutions.

The TDS Risk and Audit Factory Lead is required to work closely with the TDS Technology teams and other enterprise teams (e.g. Platform Protect, IT Infrastructure, Business Information Security Office (BISO) etc.) to address any risk issues and minimize the risk exposures for TDS business segment.

Overall Responsibilities

  • Serves as point of contact for TDS Risk and Audit Factory to drive and report the delivery of key remediation workstreams.

  • Contribute in supporting TDS & TBSM for implementing enterprise strategic objectives and initiatives.

  • Assist TDS TS technology (or TDS business if required) in meeting the applicable TD technology and security controls to address audit and regulatory compliance requirements.

  • Lead and coordinate thematic/systemic remediation efforts for TDS Technology through Risk or Audit Factory to ensure the open risk and audit items are close on time.

  • Provide guidance and advice to TDS TS teams on technology and cyber risks / security controls, including audit and regulatory compliance requirements.

  • Support TDS TS teams in the enterprise risk and control processes (e.g. technology and cyber risk assessments, control gap assessments, infrastructure / application security reviews, SOX control testing, etc.)

  • Prepare audit and risk reporting for TDS technology forums as required.

Education and Professional Certifications:

  • Degree in Computer Science or equivalent field is desired.

  • Other industry certification is a strong asset (COBIT, ITIL, PMP)

Qualifications/Skill Sets

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant industry experience in technology and cyber risk management, IT audit at major financial institutions.

  • Deep knowledge and sound understanding in one or more areas of technology and cyber risk management principles, internal control concepts, information security controls, and industry frameworks.

  • Strong analytical skills to identify control weaknesses or root causes and recommend effective and pragmatic solutions to address risk and control issues.

  • Collaborative and engaging personality who can partner well with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Motivated and committed to drill down into risk and control issues with positive attitude.

  • Able to evaluate and articulate risk and control issues clearly.

  • Subject matter expert in handling audit lifecycle from finding field work, action plan, remediation, and validation requests.

  • Strong IT literacy and well versed with MS Word/Excel/Visio and PowerPoint.

  • Proficient in data analytics, data visualization and dashboard presentation.

  • Well versed with JIRA/ jQuery, Confluence, ServiceNow and Archer.

  • Strong leadership and communication skills.

The Senior IT Support Analyst TDS designs and develops quality solutions for program/system issues consistent with project objectives and client requirements, and follow technology architecture standards.

Depth & Scope:

  • Conducts program/system research, analysis, design and problem resolution

  • Ensures defect free programming by testing and debugging using available/appropriate tools and participates in reviewing peer coding

  • Participates in identifying and recommending development/testing solutions/tools in support of project objectives

  • Develops, implements, maintains and improves solutions/processes that maximize system availability, efficiency/effectiveness and minimize/prevent problems/issues

  • Adheres to existing processes/standards, technology architecture, risk and production capacity guidelines and objectives; plans, monitors, tests and escalates issues as required

  • Works with the architecture group to ensure good architectural design and raises issues as they develop through the project lifecycle in a timely manner

  • Complies with the system development life cycle (SDLC) and project management methodology (PMLC) by participating in scope assessment, risk and cost analysis

  • Subject matter expert in at least one area of discipline and consults with clients/or project teams with respect to all aspects of research, analysis, design, hardware/ software support, development of technical solutions and/or testing

  • Works independently in a senior/lead role on a diverse range of tasks and may be relied upon to coach/ educate others

  • Leads the development of detailed/ complex and/or comprehensive project plans for large projects

  • Assignments are moderately to highly complex and multi-faceted

  • May provide guidance/direction to a few IT professionals

  • Acts as a resource in the exchange of technical information for project teams, the business and/or outside vendors

  • Develops and operationalize technology standards, policies and processes to address BSA/AML/OFAC risks

  • Develops and maintains a working knowledge of BSA/AML/OFAC risks related to technology projects and processes

  • Keeps direct reports informed about relevant information on BSA/AML/OFAC requirements and escalation procedures

Education & Experience:

  • College degree, or specialized training / equivalent work experience

  • 3+ Years of related experience

  • Advanced knowledge of the technical environment/ tools (e.g., user environment, applications, software, hardware, programming languages and operating systems) in own area

  • Advanced knowledge of business processes and procedures on a broad, organizational level

  • Sound to advanced knowledge of business/ organization, Bank standards, infrastructure, architecture and technology in related areas from a design/ support/ solutions perspective
