The Investor & Issuer Liquidity team is responsible for the optimization of customers' deposits and its associated net interest revenue. The Liquidity team covers the Investor & Issuer Services business in over 60 markets across the globe.
The Product Specialist is a middle-management level position responsible for the development of product plans, strategies, and providing analytical data-backed insight to the broader Liquidity Management team.
Responsibilities:
Work very closely with client executives, product partners and business heads on managing overall deposit levels and associated cost of funds.
Work closely with Citi Finance and Treasury partners to ensure a strong controls environment for regulatory policies & guidelines including CCAR, CLAR, GSIB, RWA, TCE and resolution planning.
Manage daily and weekly reports on client balances, overdrafts, and intraday liquidity operations.
Structure monthly reports to track Deposits and Net Interest Income (NII) at client level. Important to become fluent in the different components of revenue such as Liquidity Premium, Pool Rate, Cost of Funds, and Hedge.
Develop strong understanding of business balance sheet, capital & regulatory requirements, central bank policies, treasury guidelines around hedges and transfer pricing – and the related impact to the business drivers and client business.
Support country teams across Americas, on all deposit and interest rate related matters; including the interpretation of changes to country balance sheet, capital & regulatory dynamics, central bank policies, and internal treasury policies regarding pool rates, hedges and other transfer pricing matters.
Execute initiatives relative to operational resiliency, intraday liquidity efficiency, expense reduction, Treasury cost allocation, liquidity risk mitigation, client analytics, client expense attribution, overdraft reduction and capital management.
Contribute to achievement of product financial performance, expense management and balance-sheet goals.
Enhance products to ensure Citi’s liquidity offering is highly competitive in terms of capability and client experience vs competitor products.
Participate in the further enhancement and monitoring of the business risk and controls framework.
Work in close partnership with control functions such as Legal, Compliance, Market and Credit Risk, Audit, Finance in order to ensure appropriate governance and control infrastructure.
Build a culture of responsible finance, good governance and supervision, expense discipline and ethics.
Appropriately assess risk/reward of transactions when making business decisions; demonstrating proper consideration for the firm’s reputation.

Qualifications:
10+ years of relevant experience
Team-player
Strong analytical skills
Functional experience in Finance, Product Control, Credit, Treasury, Product development, or Data Analytics
Microsoft office proficient, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations & requirements
Ability to work unsupervised and adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate
Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills
Ability to execute in a large matrixed organization
Education:
Bachelor’s/University degree,
Master’s degree preferred.
