Stryker is seeking to hire a Principal Technical Recruiter to join our Talent Acquisition Center of Excellence.

As the Principal Technical Recruiter, you will support technical recruiting efforts for hard-to-fill, medical device software engineering roles.

This role is remote based, and candidates can be located anywhere in the United States.

As the Principal Technical Recruiter, you will recruit and source technical candidates, for exciting medical device technology role.

In this role, you will focus on Software Engineering roles, and will be responsible. You will partner with Hiring Managers and Human Resource Business Partners to identify, attract, and acquire top talent in hard-to-fill software engineering skill sets.

You will:

  • Conduct initial phone screens with candidates to assess technical skills and cultural fit.

  • Utilize your strength and passion in generating candidates by leveraging all advanced recruiting tools and techniques to identify and acquire top talent.

  • Articulate a compelling career opportunity based on the candidate’s motivation.

  • Contribute to Social Media efforts and positively promote Stryker’s brand.

  • Listen to and understand the needs and motivations of all stakeholders.

  • Provide hiring teams with expert guidance and consultation on recruitment process, policy, technology, industry trends, market data and best practices.

  • Communicate consistently and proactively to ensure alignment and remove barriers.

  • Tactfully drive the hiring process to meet aggressive key performance indicators (KPI’s)

  • Accurately manage candidate / requisition lifecycle in applicant tracking system (ATS) to ensure data integrity for reporting.


  • Bachelor’s degree - required

  • A minimum of 6 years of professional level full cycle recruiting experience - required

  • Previous recruitment experience supporting software engineering roles - preferred

  • Previous experience utilizing sourcing and candidate engagement recruitment tools / technologies including Workday, Smashfly, LinkedIn recruiter or related CRM programs – preferred

  • Preferred candidates will have a mix of agency and corporate recruitment experience

This job may be performed remotely from anywhere in the United States, except that this job may not be filled or performed in Colorado.
