Organization Overview: The Goddard Riverside Community Center (Goddard Riverside) and the Stanley M. Isaacs Neighborhood Center (Isaacs Center) are well-established Manhattan community-based agencies that support services to approximately 30,000 New Yorkers. We are two of New York City’s leading human services organizations meeting the needs of children, youth and families, homeless individuals, and older adults throughout Manhattan and New York City. Position Summary: Reporting to the Assistant Director of Workforce Development and Education, the Participant Admissions Coordinator is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive recruitment strategy that will yield Isaacs Center 500-600 interested students annually. The Participant Admissions Coordinator will utilize strategic partnerships with community-based organizations, social media, alumni to achieve recruitment targets. The Participant Admissions Coordinator will work with staff from specific programs and the Monitoring and Evaluation Coordinator to develop, streamlining and constantly improve admissions projects that ease access to programming for prospective students and allow the organization to consistently source interested and qualified young adults.

Schedule: Monday through Friday 35 hours per week

Salary Range: $40,000 - $50,000

Roles, Responsibilities, and Essential Duties

Recruitment

  • Build and implement a comprehensive recruitment strategy for workforce and educational programming at Isaacs Center

  • Develop strategic partnerships with community-based organizations, elected officials, schools, and religious institutions where young adults congregate and consult when making vocational and educational decisions

  • Create and maintain and cohesive social media campaign that engages prospective students and promotes alumni happenings

  • Recruit 500-600 students across program annually

    Admissions

  • Host at least two weekly informational sessions for prospective students in-person or virtually

  • Shepherd students through the application, intake, and program start processes

  • Work with staff from each specific program to select ensure a steady stream of interested students are applying year-round
