Bloomberg LP Operations and Infrastructure Specialist in New York, New York
Position Duties: Identify and deliver on opportunities for technical and process improvements. Responsible for system standardization, security, performance, and stability in coordination with global team members. Builds automation and tools and integrates and maintains these tools in order to provide elite levels of visibility and significant improvements to agility. Implements telemetry tools for all systems in an enterprise infrastructure environment needed to monitor and maintain established SLAs, including server, storage and network performance trending, and software, hardware, and network faults. Deploys and handles bare-metal and virtual servers utilizing VMWare, AWS, Azure, and other enterprise products. Supports NAS/SAN Storage arrays for structured and unstructured data sets. Configures and maintains alerting systems, messaging and dashboards so that alerts are delivered with appropriate urgency. Collaborates daily with other teams including Security, Telephony, Network, End Point Technology, Audio Visual, Mobile Technology, Service Desk and Infrastructure design teams.Job Requirements: Position requires a Bachelor’s degree or the foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or Infrastructure Analyst, or Operations Specialist, or related. Must have one (1) year of experience in each of the following skills: Log aggregation; Solarwinds; Microsoft System CenterOperation Manager; Scripting (Powershell); VMWare, AWS, or Azure; SQL; and HP ILO.Rate of pay: $175,000 - $200,000/ year.
