Neuberger Berman Onboarding Project Manager in New York, New York

The Onboarding Team is responsible for managing the implementation of new products, institutional client mandates, portfolio management teams, and strategic offerings. New products include mutual funds, ETFs UCITS funds, CLOs, Private Funds (Hedge and Private Equity), and other regional funds. The institutional client mandates include multi asset class mandates as well as clients with unique requirements. The Onboarding team identifies the requirements for the launches, designs solutions and coordinates across multiple departments to ensure that all project tasks are identified and completed in a timely manner to support successful implementation.

You will serve as a primary point person for all associated onboarding activities

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with various lines of business to identify onboarding requirements. Lines of business include (but not limited to) Product Management, Marketing, Portfolio Management, Client Services, Operations, Legal, Compliance, Risk, and Technology

  • Design comprehensive operating models to support new strategic offerings, leveraging existing systems and capabilities across the Firm

  • Coordinate and manage onboarding efforts across all aspects, including identifying areas of focus, risks, and appropriate timelines

  • Develop overall project plan, key milestones, and servicing requirements, depending upon the size and complexity of the effort

  • Develop effective communication plans including management reporting, tracking, and presentations to senior management

  • Facilitate best practice process management with various operational and administrative areas of the organization, including identification of efficiencies and process improvements

  • Lead a team of individuals across various business and support and control channels responsible for onboarding coordination and execution

  • Ensure accounts are opened in a timely manner, both internally and externally with service providers

  • Periodically facilitate project efforts which impact the Onboarding function, including coordinating, tracking and managing the overall effort

Qualifications:

  • B.A. degree or equivalent, preferred in finance or accounting

  • 5+ years experience in financial services operations

  • Broad knowledge of the securities industry and variety of investment vehicles

  • Knowledge of general securities rules as well as financial industry regulations and terminology.

  • Strong project management & analytical skills

  • Visio skills a plus

Compensation Details

The salary range for this role is $90,000-$125,000. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in New York City. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. This job is also eligible for a discretionary bonus.
