Salary Range: $99,500.00 - $117,100.00

*As required under NYC Human Rights Law Int 1208-2018 - Salary range for this role when Hired for NYC Offices

Position Summary

Under guidance, supervises and instructs staff and student technologists in all technical aspects of nuclear cardiology procedures

Job Responsibilities

  • Attends workshops, seminars and/or conferences to keep abreast of standards and best practices within the field. Disseminates information to colleagues and/or staff as appropriate.

  • Develops and implements policies and procedures related to billing and compliance and audit processes.

  • Ensures compliance with local, state and federal regulatory agency requirements.

  • Ensures adequate staff coverage and effective utilization of resources.

  • Confers with nuclear medicine radiology chemist regarding testing priorities and provides daily list of patients for dose ordering (preliminary and final).

  • Maintains quality control documentation on existing and new equipment.

  • Performs experimental testing procedures to monitor quality control standards.

  • Maintains quality control documentation at readiness for routine and ad-hoc inspections.

  • Ensures prompt equipment service and maintenance with outside vendors.

  • Provides basic technical support troubleshooting for on-site equipment.

  • Maintains a safe work environment by ensuring that staff is aware of and observes mandated safety requirements.

  • Ensures cleanliness of work environment.

  • Oversees quality assurance programs and activities following institutional, state and/or federal quality operating standards. Monitors the same for continued quality improvement. Ensures appropriate documentation is maintained as needed.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field

Experience

Approximately 5+ years of related experience, preferably in an academic healthcare or research setting

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Licenses and Certifications

  • Current, active and unrestricted New York State License in Radiographic Technology (N).

  • ARRT (N) required; CT certification required and accepted either through ARRT or NMTCB.

  • NYS Intravenous Contrast Administration Certification

  • BLS Certification (issued by the American Heart Association)
