Employer: AlixPartners, LLP Position: Management Consultant (SVP, Automotive & Industrial) in New York, NY.Duties: Serve in management consulting role at global management consulting firm. Conduct organizational studies and evaluations and develop solutions or alternative methods to assist management in operating more efficiently and effectively by leading consulting teams and managing subordinate consultants’ efforts in developing project plans and budgets, preparing status reports and address performance problems within the organization. Provide clients with critical analysis and planning needed to reduce IT costs and generating valuable business insights in a quick and affordable manner. Build the predictive and prescriptive models used to improve profitability, growth, retention and other key performance indicators, and present findings to various business leaders. Implement formal modeling processes from end-to-end including data gathering, data profiling, calibration and cross-validation in a fast paced, critical environment. Apply cutting-edge business processes and technology and industry-leading tools and methodologies to develop new and insightful analytical approaches to business situations and contribute to the development of intellectual capital for AlixPartners practice groups. Up to 100% of travel to undetermined domestic and international client locations, as needed. Telecommuting permitted.Requires a Bachelor's in Business Administration, Finance, Economics or related analytical field, plus 5 years of experience in management consulting, strategy analysis or business analytics.Must have 5 years of experience in each of the following skills:• Leading large teams to deliver complex transformation programs in the Automotive industry. Experience running executive level updates (working closely with Automotive Chief Procurement Officers), tracking progress of initiatives, developing negotiation plans and working with finance to track benefits;• Developing Automotive Aftermarket pricing strategies to maximize product profitability. Experience using sophisticated analytical approaches to assess different product and customer categories to identify optimal pricing approach;• Utilizing accounting skills (such as variance analysis and three statement modeling) to undertake detailed reviews of financial statements providing a subjective assessment on feasibility of forecast highlighting key risks, potential roadblocks and opportunities to improve performance. Summarizing findings in executive level report;• Designing and developing digital tools using software including PowerBI, Databricks and Smartsheets. Manipulating large number of data points across functions including finance, quality and delivery to provide executive level insights for CEOs and CPOs; and• Working with clients to develop procurement/cost reduction strategies in the Automotive industry. Identifying cost reduction opportunities through ‘should cost’ analysis, product benchmarking and commercial leverage.40 hours per week, $175,000 - $275,000 per year.
