Torch & Crown Brewing Co. Line Cook in New York, New York
Torch & Crown Brewing Company is looking for line cooks to join our team. We are looking for passionate, organized, hard-working individuals with experience in a high-volume restaurant and bar setting. Candidates must have a strong desire to learn and grow in addition to having great communication skills.
Responsibilities:
Portions, cuts, slices, dips, batters, breads, whips, beats, maintains holding temperature, fries and sautés
Selects cuts of meat, poultry, shellfish, fish, game or vegetables to be used for frying or sautéing
Plates menu items along with appropriate garnish
Follows recipes and complies with portion sizes, quality standards, department rules and procedures, and D.O.H. regulations
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualified candidates will have:
2+ years in a food preparation position
Degree from a culinary arts training program preferred
Good knife skills and finger dexterity to use small tools and utensils adeptly
Ability to exert well-paced mobility for periods up to 8 hours in length
Ability to lift pots, pans, etc., up to 40 pounds in weight
Ability to work with commercial equipment including Robot Coupe mixers, Vitamix blenders, torches, etc.
