Tiffany & Co. Industrial Planning Analyst in New York, New York

As a member of the Industrial Planning – External Team, the Industrial Planning Analyst is responsible for the analysis, modification and execution of all aspects to support the Master Production Schedule (MPS) for either the external supplier base or internal manufacturing supply base while maximizing their production capacity. They will interface with Internal Manufacturing, External Suppliers, Inventory Planning, Product Development, Global Planning, Sourcing Teams, and Category Management to ensure the supply plan can meet the current demand plan in addition to supporting supplier strategy based on current company initiatives.

Key Accountabilities

Supplier Management and Communication

  • Manages, expedites, re-schedules, prioritizes, and analyzes firm requirements as needed, based on the Acquisition schedule to ensure on time delivery of product to the Distribution Centers

  • Conduct total business review with Planning and Sourcing teams. Ensures supply plan matches long-term supplier strategy and creates action plans if needed

  • Analyzes late deliveries, determines recovery plans, and resolves root cause of lateness for current production

  • Analyze and identify any potential split changes and cost savings opportunities

  • Manages the data integrity as it relates to production lead-times, case pack quantities, order minimums, production splits and other ordering rules in JDE for current production

  • Maintains ongoing communication with cross-functional team members on supplier activity and issues related to current production

  • Collaborates with Distribution Centers on operations on supplier compliance and receiving issues for current product

  • Continuously maintains communication with suppliers regarding supply issues for current production

  • Collaborates with Gemstone Acquisition, Industrial Stone Operations, and Diamond Acquisition on cross functional activities

  • Establish and monitor past due targets across supply base for current production

Planning, Metrics, and Analysis

  • Support and participate in ongoing strategic planning initiatives of the area

  • Creates and develops reports and analyses to meet the needs of the business. Shares results with Management and identifies recommendations

  • Analyzes current metrics while pursuing improvements and new metrics

  • Determines, implements, and maintains internal/external supplier splits to optimize capacity utilization and improve supply chain agility

  • Collaborates with other Analysts in the area to develop and align on monthly reporting, other ad-hoc reporting and to support other needs of the business

  • Support the preparation of the Supply Review analysis as part of the monthly Integrated Business Planning Process

Product Development and Project Management

  • Partners with Analyst with New Product scope to ensure New Product subsequent demand reflects most up to date splits within JDA, and communicates demand as needed

  • Collaborates with Strategic Teams in providing capacity planning inputs to make vs buy decisions

  • Assist as needed with New Product launch split assessment, launch communication, shipment schedule coordination, and independent demand updates in the system

Safety

  • Demonstrate safety leadership by adherence to workplace safety policies and procedures. Recognize and positively reinforce good safety behaviors while delivering immediate, specific and constructive feedback to employees who demonstrate unsafe work behavior.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • 2+ years of related job experience

  • Strong organizational follow-up, verbal and written communication skills

  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency MS Office skills particularly using Excel, Access, Power Point and Word

  • Demonstrated analytical skills

  • Self-Motivated with a strong drive for achievement

  • Proven ability to function effectively in a team environment

  • Willing to work flexible schedule to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of MIPS and JD Edwards

  • Working Knowledge of DRP functions and processes

  • Prior Jewelry or Retail Experience

The hiring range for this position ranges from $77,010.00 - $85,000.00. The rate of pay offered will be dependent upon candidates’ relevant skills and experience.
