FirstService Residential FP&A Analyst in New York, New York

Job Overview:

As an FP&A Analyst you will be responsible for validating data for market research and comparable analysis work with other North Region markets.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Track KPIs/ objectives set forth in the budget/ forecast process.
  • Automate routine tasks, i.e. reporting and data collection; building financial templates and models for analysis, variance analyses, long-term planning, risk/opportunity assessments, ad hoc reporting, etc. and updating/ maintaining as needed.
  • Managing databases of financial records.
  • Creating financial analysis reports and models.

Monthly Deliverables:

  • Preparation and Analysis of Monthly Performance Report & collaboration with business leaders.
  • Improve monthly performance report / maintain actions items list from review to ensure we close loop..
  • Preparation and Analysis of Monthly Financial Statements (7 VPs).
  • Preparation and Analysis of Monthly Operational Reports (Margin Analysis Dashboard) and Review (25+ MDs).
  • Preparation/ Review of Departmental Budgets/ Actuals (10+ Department Leaders).
  • Prepare budgets and forecasts in Vena system.
  • Forecast (Internal 12x, Regional Presentation 3x).
  • Annual Budget.
  • Collaborate with Corporate Accounting Team to support data analytics, streamline manual data, especially historical data, to support business decisions effectively/ efficiently for NY market.
  • Collaborate with HR Team on ADP system maintenance i.e. (business titles/ compensation packages, incentive compensation review).
  • Misc Special Projects i.e. Contract Management Review/ Schedule A Implementation.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelors/master’s in accounting and or finance.
  • Two (2) - four (4) years’ experience in an analytical role.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Strong Excel skills a must
  • Experience in Financial Performance platform -Vena a plus
  • Experience with Smartsheet, Microsoft Dynamics- Great Plains a plus
  • Strong Communication Skills (Written & Verbal) & Presentation Skills; Ability to work with various levels of management
  • Quick study in fast paced working environment, while maintaining flexibility (ability to manage multiple competing priorities while maintaining a view of the big picture, deadlines, goals)
  • Self-starter with good time management skills/ project management skills
  • Detail-oriented, problem solver, critical thinker
  • Collaborative and team first approach, growth mindset

Compensation:

$80000 - $100000 / year
