The Role:

The Content Acquisition team (CA) is an integral part of the Data department. We are responsible for partnering with the most critical content providers across the market data industry to acquire content that enables our customers to make fast and thoughtful investment decisions. Our Relationship Managers lead the hunting, negotiation, and acquisition of Pricing, Reference, and Alternative data.

You will be responsible for acquiring and handling Fixed Income content, encompassing OTC Pricing and valuation data, Reference data and Credit ratings data.

We'll trust you to:

  • Facilitate partnerships with Fixed Income content providers - including ratings agencies, sell-side banks, regulators, industry associations, brokers, clearing houses and venues - to help deepen the overall relationship with Bloomberg

  • Build strong relationships with senior individuals at these organizations - spanning across Trading, Sales, Business Managers, E-commerce, Desk Support, and In-house Market Data Specialists

  • Champion cross-department requirements and collaboration with Bloomberg Sales, Product & Technology, COOs, CFOs and Data teams to find opportunities with your content partners, and complete successful go to market strategies

  • Identify, analyze and negotiate strategic datasets to improve our data coverage and data quality, while finding growth opportunities and mitigating risk by constantly improving the depth of prospects

  • Leverage your Fixed Income SME by demonstrating your understanding of the data from your content partners, and by being a trusted adviser and responding to all queries relating to these datasets

  • Expedite data integration and ensure the quality of data through proactively reviewing datasets from our content partners.

  • Pitch the Bloomberg value proposition

You'll need to have:

  • 5+ years of experience working with senior leaders and decision-makers, including C-suite level executives and senior stakeholder management

  • Experience in building trust with C-level executives in order to develop long lasting business relationships which work well for both Bloomberg, as well as our content providers, including ensuring that we not only acquire content, but we do so at the right standard of quality and on optimal terms

  • Comfortability with a high degree of autonomy and in handling priorities from multiple internal and external partners - you will need to be a quick learner and driven to find answers without being given a lot of detail or instructions

  • Experience in pricing and reference data distribution, with shown knowledge in the Fixed Income space

  • Interest in identifying and following emerging research and data trends

  • Experience negotiating data deals, a high level of market data licensing knowledge, and commercial skill

  • Willingness and track record in building strong networks internally and externally, with an established network in the Fixed Income landscape

  • Capacity to develop innovative ideas for particular accounts or asset classes

  • Ability to lead multiple projects at the same time and shift priorities quickly

  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal and client servicing skills

  • Possess an "all hands-on deck" attitude

  • Be self-motivated and able to work independently

  • Legal authorization to work full-time in the United States and will not require visa sponsorship now or in the future

We'd love to see:

  • Knowledge of debt rating data and structure cash flow products

  • Familiarity with technical infrastructure re acquisition technology stacks

  • Excellent knowledge of a Bloomberg terminal

  • Understanding of regulatory impact on the fixed income market data industry

Salary Range: 120,000 - 170,000 USD Annually + Benefits + Bonus

The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
