Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('SpinCo') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.
NBC News is seeking an Executive Assistant to support on-air talent for News Now and the Executive Producer for Nightly News.
Responsibilities:
Create and maintain daily schedules (including shows and teams) to plan meetings across the network
Coordinate car service requests, travel itineraries and expense reports
Compose and prepare various correspondences, typically in fast-paced situations and under tight deadlines
Work with talent on social media brand management, video editing, planning, and scheduling posts
Handle heavy telephone contact will all levels of internal and external executives, employees and vendors
Research and create factually accurate information packets for show interviews or for breaking news situations
Facilitate events where Talent is hosting; this includes coordinating with event organizers and making sure talent is prepared for the event (i.e. keep track of itinerary, organize scripts, be the point of contact for Talent at the event, etc.)
Coordinate with production teams across various NBC brands and assist with production at shoots
Anticipate the needs of the Talent, in an ever-changing, high-pressure environment
Use judgment in handling inquiries from vendors, candidates, employees, and resolve concerns/issues as necessary
File Concur expenses in a timely manner for executive producer and on-air talent
At least one year of news production and/or administrative experience
Bachelor’s degree or relevant years of experience
Exceptional computer skills with proficiency in MS Office Suite and social media
Must be able to work overtime, nights, holidays and on weekends with short notice
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to deal with all levels of management
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion

Comfortable interfacing with various levels of guests – including executives and high-profile talent
Additional Job Requirements:
- Required On-Site: This position is required to be performed full-time from an NBCUniversal-designated worksite.
