This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while working closely with the Chairman’s Office team members and partners. This position provides administrative support for the American Express Global Security – Executive Protection Unit (EP) at Headquarters, and will be an integral part of the team working under the direction of the EP Vice President. The ideal candidate is experienced in handling a wide range of administrative related tasks and is eager to learn, able to operate in fast-paced environment, and willing to work a minimum of 3-4 days a week in the New York office.

How will you make an impact in this role?

  • Assist the Executive Protection (EP) Vice President with day to day activities and administrative support; work closely with the EP Operational Managers; work closely with the Chairman & CEO’s Senior Executive Assistant to address calendar concerns.

  • Provide close calendar watch; Provide back-up calendar and travel management for the Executive Protection Teams; as well as ensure timely preparation and processing of expense reports and invoices; review expenses submitted by EP colleagues for pre-approval and highlight any out of policy spending

  • Lead all EP training and medical response certifications; Firearm Certifications; Company Vehicle files; and supplies, etc.

  • Assist with special events, projects, and initiatives

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2 years experience as an Executive Assistant

  • Shown ability to work within deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and execute multiple initiatives/tasks

  • Strong sense of integrity for using discretion and maintaining confidentiality with sensitive information

  • Motivated, proactive teammate with the ability to interact with colleagues at all levels of a diverse, global organization

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong attention to detail with emphasis on accuracy, quality, timeliness, follow through and a sense of urgency in executing tasks

  • High proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook and willingness to learn new technology

  • Must work well under pressure without losing composure and professionalism

Qualifications

Salary Range: $24.05 to $48.10 hourly bonus benefits
