Tradeweb Emerging Markets Sales in New York, New York

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a VP of Sales to join our New York-based Emerging Markets team. A key, strategic position, the right individual will have extensive Emerging Market Credit, Credit Derivative, EM Local Cash and EM Rate Derivative product knowledge and be able to leverage their product sales experience to boost the specialist sales effort for Tradeweb in North America. Aside from in-depth product knowledge, the role of an EM sales person requires excellent client liaison skills, as the successful candidate will work closely with the Global Sales and Product Managers to drive the EM Credit and Rates product agenda, maximizing all opportunities for growth and increased market share. As such, strong interpersonal skills are a necessity along with a tenacious and results-oriented approach. To be successful, the right individual will also need to develop an in-depth understanding of our customers’ requirements along with the Credit product development strategy; sharing and leveraging information to maximum advantage. Experience with electronic trading solutions is also essential. Strong relationships with North American asset manager execution desks will be key to the success of this role.

Job Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Heads of EM Sales and Credit & Rates Product Management to develop and execute the sales strategy, partnering with the US and UK Sales Team to leverage opportunity and drive the EM agenda;

  • Contribute to the development of the Emerging Market Credit / CDS / Local Cash and IRS product strategy, working closely with the Emerging Market Product Management teams to understand the key drivers as well as sharing information and ensuring a close alignment with the sales team’s focus;

  • Build and develop key relationships both internally and with the North American buy-side customer base, establishing yourself as a ‘go to’ person for EM Credit and Rates inquiries and specialist information; educate others and provide presentations / demonstrations as necessary; as

  • Help grow Tradeweb’s market share in the EM Credit / CDS / Local Cash and IRS trading markets, keeping up to date with market developments and competitor intelligence to maintain competitive advantage.

Qualifications

  • EM Credit, Credit Derivatives, Local Bonds and IRS product expertise

  • Thorough understanding of electronic trading/e-commerce

  • Very strong network of North American asset manager contacts

  • Ability to drive and execute a sales strategy

  • The current pay range for this role if performed in the city of New York is currently $90,000 to $200,000 per year, based on a regular, full-time schedule. The amount of pay offered will be determined by a number of factors, including but not limited to qualifications, market data, geographic location, and internal guidelines.
