Primary Responsibilities

Primary duties of an Electrical Construction Inspector are to inspect electrical power and communications construction work to ensure conformance with contract documents and all applicable codes and standards.Work includes preparation of daily narrative reports, contractor time and material records, review contractor's request for additional compensation, preparation of descriptions/reasons/estimates for change orders, verification of work in place quantities for contractor payment applications, coordination of construction work with facility operations and other stakeholders and ensuring the safety and quality of the work.

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree or NICET Level II certification or a comparable combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years' experience in construction inspection of electrical power and communications work on major transportation/infrastructure projects for public agencies, such as PANYNJ, MTA/NYCT, NJ Transit, NYCDDC, NYCSCA is required.
  • Excellent Organizational and communication skills required.

  • OSHA 30 hour training
  • PE license in New York or New Jersey
