Global Private Capital Association Director of Venture Capital in New York, New York
Managing LAVCAs presence in the venture capital ecosystem in Latin America, with a special focus on Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, Chile, and Argentina. Identifying and tracking program performance indicators and ensure that the results contribute to overall GPCA mission. Leading LAVCAs Venture Bulletin, a bi-weekly publication covering the latest venture capital and technology trends delivered to more than 7,000 regional investors, corporations, and entrepreneurs in decision-making roles across Latin America. Curating and interpreting economic data to identify regional and country-specific sector trends in fundraising, investments, and exits of private capital to navigate private capital trends, including the number of executed investments, dollar amounts invested, fundraising figures, exit distributions, and other relevant statistics for private capital fund managers in the Latin American region. Coordinating the relationship with LAVCAs Tech Growth Coalition members, including Google, Visa, and Microsoft among other leading tech companies with a focus on advancing research, support, and visibility of high growth startups in Latin America.
Education / Experience Requirements: - Bachelors degree in economics or a similar field, and six months of experience conducting financial and strategic analysis
Skill Requirements - Fluency in Spanish - Functional knowledge of pivot tables, formulas, trend analysis, and data management systems - Functional knowledge of financial/economic report writing - Functional knowledge of data management systems - Functional knowledge of qualitative research and data analysis involving economics
