Thought Machine Client Engineering Manager in New York, New York
Client Engineering Manager (Thought Machine Inc., New York, NY): Analyze and validate business requirements, translating into technical specifications/requirements, design client solutions and architecture; Contribute to product strategy through evaluating changes to the Vault platform required following client specific requests during projects; Coordinate requirements across all ongoing projects to align implementation and prioritize according to Engineering team’s and client timelines; Create development instances and re-create issues and coordinating with the Engineering function on the testing of the solutions before proceeding to release a fix to the client; Coordinate impact and requirements across projects; Deliver commitments to the clients that align with company strategy, participate in planning for Client Services organization; Participate in technical discussions and design reviews, measure team’s impact; Develop engineers in your team and help them in their career development; Contribute to engineering-wide initiatives as part of the client engineering management team on anything from recruitment to team processes; Implement Vault Core workflows and Python smart contract code from client requirements (software engineering); Implement helper libraries, tooling and software around Vault Core configuration; Understand, investigate and resolve client technical queries; Prioritize and manage backlog and sprint planning; Conduct post-mortems and defect management on technical issues; and Leading a team of four (4) Client Engineers on defining and delivering our product roadmap. Requires a Bachelor’s Degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or a related field of study. Qualified applicants must have at least five years' experience working on client-facing projects, including experience in client-facing integration, implementation engineering or solution architecture in B2B software product companies. Furthermore, qualified applicants must have demonstrated proficiency, skill, experience, and knowledge with the following: REST APIs and gRPC; Microservices architecture; Kubernetes and Docker; Kafka; ELK Stack; AWS or Google Cloud Platform; Golang or Python; Agile; and Linux and CLI.
