The Mount Sinai Health System Benefits Analyst I - Call Center in New York, New York

The Benefits Analyst I assists in the resolution of routine and moderately complex inquiries involving employee and vendor benefit issues. Exceptional customer service focus, organization and follow through skills are required. Detailed oriented, excellent writing, oral communication and presentation skills, must be able to manage competing demands, while being adaptable and flexible. Exceptional time management, organizational skills and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Assists in the resolution of routine and moderately complex questions involving employee benefits and issues that arise with vendor.

  2. Assists employees with Spending Account, direct billing and resolve discrepancies

  3. Acts as a liaison with the School of Medicine for the Medical Students as it pertains to enrollment and benefits.

  4. Provides administrative support for Relocation (hard to recruit) position and Faculty.

  5. Tuition reimbursement for Sinai BI and Sinai St. Luke’s, which includes union and non-union nurses.

  6. Prepares packets and conducts weekly Benefits Orientation for new hire/newly eligible.

  7. Participates in annual House Staff Orientation.

  8. Participates in Open Enrollment Town Hall meetings at various Offsite locations.

  9. Prepare and participates in the Annual Employee Benefits Fair.

  10. Participates in Annual Open Enrollment web testing.

  11. Performs other related duties.

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or a related field or equivalent education and experience

Experience Requirements

2+ years of related benefits administration experience or some administrative experience (benefits specific preferred) with a four year degree.

  1. Familiarity with standard benefit concepts, practices and procedures

  2. Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  3. Excellent organizational and customer service skills

  4. Knowledge of benefit administration concepts and practices
