Morgan Stanley Smith Barney LLC seeks to fill the position of Assistant Vice President, Product Management in New York, NY.Analyze competitive strategies across the industry utilizing statistical and data analysis principles. Track financial performance and develop key performance metrics of cash management products. Perform financial analysis to inform pricing and product strategies. Develop and optimize tools and algorithms to monitor transaction flows. Prepare various analyses including sensitivity, test vs controls for senior management. Prepare and present financial forecasts in various governance forums. Design pilot programs to test key product features and estimate casual effects. Analyze large-scale datasets using SQL and Python to drive insights. Build and maintain external partnerships to improve product services and identify growth opportunities. Evaluate, size, develop new product opportunities and socialize with various stakeholders to get approval. Document business requirements for technology teams and manage roll-outs with project management teams. Assist in managing cross-functional teams with representatives from IT, operations, legal compliance, marketing, business, and finance to launch and implement new initiatives. Support Financial Advisors and Private Bankers in the marketing of all deposit products and the resolution of any escalated client issue. Requires a Master's degree in Applied Statistics and Decision-Making, Data Analytics, or a related field plus one (1) year of experience in the position offered or one (1) year of experience as an Associate, Equity Research Intern, or a related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree in in Applied Statistics and Decision-Making, Data Analytics, or a related field plus five (5) years of experience in the position offered or five (5) years of experience as an Associate, Equity Research Intern, or a related occupation. One (1) year of experience with: Test and control causality study; Financial and Valuation Analysis; Decision Theory; Metrics and KPI Measurement and Tracking; Attribution Modeling; Business Intelligence and Data visualization; Time Series and Trend Analysis; Statistical and Probabilistic Analysis; Supervised and Unsupervised Modeling Techniques; Scenario, Driver, and Sensitivity Analysis; Text Mining; SAS; SQL; Python; Advance Excel; PowerPoint; Dataiku with Hadoop and Snowflake framework; and Machine Learning including: Decision Trees, Random Forests, Clustering, and Linear and Logistic Regression.
