Fin Venture Capital Management LLC Analyst in New York, New York

Fin Venture Capital seeks an Analyst in New York, New York to conduct market analysis and opportunity identification via academic research, customer interviews, conferences, incubator and University demo days, and peers (Angels/VCs). Proactively develop relationships with companies that align to our investment theses and scope (based on the fund - Early Stage, Growth/Late, and Public). Support the team’s market mapping, initial screening and subsequent deep due diligence of potential investments. Support development of diligence materials, valuation/exit models, and Investment Memo/Scorecard to assess market sizing, talent assessment, product-market fit, key metrics/financials, capital structure, valuation modeling and exit scenarios, risks, etc. Liaise with team members to support diligence checks (product, tech, and finance) and support the Associate team to complete the investment process. Support portfolio companies around product strategy, talent sourcing, business development, regional market and global expansion and support for future financing. Help gather and manage portfolio performance, metrics, and financials on a Quarterly basis. Support capital raising for the firm and portfolio company follow-on round growth financings. Qualified applicants must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field, or a foreign equivalent. Qualified applicants must have one (1) year of experience working as an Analyst, or a substantially similar position, performing the following: (1) Designing comprehensive financial models to evaluate strategic options for clients including leveraged buyouts, mergers and acquisitions, initial public offerings, restructurings, and other financing alternatives, with a focus on companies in the FinTech industry; (2) Performing financial valuation analysis through the use of discounted cash flow, trading comparables, precedent transaction comparables, and leveraged buyout methodologies; (3) Performing in-depth financial and operational due diligence on client companies; and (4) Analyzing market trends, competition, and potential strategic partners using information obtained from multiple data sources.
