DESCRIPTION OF WORK This role is a professional position in the Safe Drinking Water (SDW) Program, where the employee is responsible for carrying out a range of tasks within a designated Environmental Protection Region. The main objective is to guarantee adherence to SDW regulations, rules, and policies that oversee environmental and public health protection.

The duties of this position include conducting compliance assistance activities, monitoring and evaluating compliance levels, as well as examining and drafting formal enforcement measures. Additionally, the role involves offering training and technical support to field staff, the regulated sector, and the general public regarding SDW regulations, rules, and policies.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 3 days per week, after training period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in New Stanton. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year of professional experience as a Sanitarian, Air Quality Specialist, Solid Waste Specialist, or Water Quality Specialist; or Any equivalent combination of experience and/or training which affords the applicant the required knowledges, skills, and abilities.

Special Requirement: This position requires the possession of a valid Class C license as issued by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
