American Express Assistant Marketing Manager (Secondment/Contract until Feb 2023) in New South Wales, Australia
An exciting opportunity exists for an Assistant Marketing Manager to join the Consumer Cards Customer Lifecycle Marketing team, focusing on Internal Customer Acquisition and growing card volume and billed business across the entire Proprietary Card Services portfolio.
This critical contract opportunity will play a key role in the strategic development and customer engagement across our Premiumisation, Companion and Additional Card offerings.
Reporting to the Manager, Customer Growth Marketing, this role will suit someone who enjoys a diverse, fast-paced, and results-driven environment. Offering a high level of exposure across the business and management of multiple marketing channels, this role requires effective communication and collaboration across multiple local and international teams and stakeholders.
Key accountabilities of the role include:
Manage existing Customer Acquisition treatments (e.g., Premiumisation, Additional Card and Companion Cards), driving product engagement and acquisition through data driven, customer focused, actionable marketing strategies.
Create, manage, and experiment with customer acquisition campaigns and customer product usage initiatives, including segmentation, new offer development and test and learning.
Lead and own end-to-end marketing campaigns across multiple channels including Email, Direct Mails, owned and paid media.
Partner closely with and influence key functional and execution teams, including Product Management, Marketing, Risk, Finance, Technologies, GCO, Compliance, Enterprise Digital and Operations.
Understand and provide insights regarding treatment effectiveness and overall profitability of new and existing strategies to support business growth.
User experience testing and customer journey optimisation
Reporting, campaign analytics, insights and testing (offer and segmentation) across channels
Manage key agencies from initial briefing, creative concepting to execution. Oversee the creation of Marketing Assets and collaterals (Digital, Videos and Landing pages)
Manage and develop direct report empowering their success and influencing their work to drive performance across all aspects of the channel.
Marketing / business tertiary qualifications with experience in marketing
Digital and direct marketing and campaign management skillset
Solution-oriented individual with ability to develop solutions to complex issues
Strong communicator with experience managing multiple stakeholder relationships
Budget management experience
Positive and energetic attitude
Must be a team player and customer advocate
Knowledge of American Express Cards, services and benefits, and/or understanding of the Financial Services Industry viewed favourably
