Job Title: Tube Welder

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled tube welder who is capable of passing a 1G Stainless tubing, 1G Inconel tubing, and 6G Aluminum tubing GTAW test.

Responsibilities

  • Perform GTAW welding on stainless, inconel, and aluminum tubing.

  • Interpret and work from blueprints and sketches.

  • Apply fitting and piping skills to complete welding tasks.

  • Demonstrate proficiency in shop mathematics.

  • Execute mirror welding tasks when required within the project.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in GTAW welding techniques.

  • Experience in steel, aluminum, and inconel welding.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and sketches.

  • Competence in fitting, piping, and tubing.

  • Formal craft training in welding.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in mirror welding is preferred.

  • Strong demonstrated skills based on welding test results.

Work Environment

The position involves working in a non-climate controlled fabrication/outside shop setting. Tasks may require working at elevated heights, climbing, crawling, and using ladders, stairs, and ramps.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Orleans, Louisiana.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.60 - $28.60/hr.
