Entergy Tax Specialist in New Orleans, Louisiana

This position will be filled as a Tax Specialist, Tax Specialist, Sr, Tax Specialist, Sr Lead, or Tax Specialist, Sr. Staff, depending on the qualifications and experience of the candidate
JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
Prepares tax filings, records tax expense and liabilities, and/or administers appropriate software tools. This position is to be filled in our tax accounting group.
Job Duties/Responsibilities
Prepares and maintains tax records, returns, reports, and other related materials
Participates in the development and implementation of tax strategy.
Determines appropriate accounting treatment for tax-related items and records the results of tax positions/transactions.
Prepares regulatory reports and responds to regulatory data requests.
Prepare and review state and local tax compliance and audits, and research tax laws.
Assist in accounting closes and provide regulatory support and assist in computing depreciation.
Minimum Requirements
Minimum education required of the position
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field or equivalent work experience.
Minimum experience required of the position
- 5 years of relevant Tax, Accounting, and/or Finance experience.
Desired:
Tax Specialist 0-4 Years
Tax Specialist, Sr 5 years
Tax Specialist, Sr. Lead 7 years
Tax Specialist, Sr. Staff 8+ years
Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities required of the position

Any certificates, licenses, etc. required for the position:
- Desired: CPA and/or CMI
