This job oversees Employee Health operations and all its duties for the system and work in collaboration with the regional executive leaders presiding over their respective local departments.
Collaborates with leaders to oversee daily service line initiatives, processes, provide clinical direction and oversight, ensures regulatory readiness, and encourages multidisciplinary collaboration (Operational and Clinical). Supports staff and actively participates in organizational committees to ensure the alignment in the overall mission and vision of the organization. This position has financial oversight and accountability to departmental budgets, capital and operational projects, and internal programs that are aligned with Employee Health.

Education
Required – Bachelor’s degree in nursing, physician assistant medicine, health sciences, or graduate of an approved physician assistant training program.
Work Experience
Required – 1 year of experience at regional site.
Preferred – 3 years of experience as an Advanced Practice Provider
Certifications
Required – Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in state of practice or Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant License.
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs)
Must have computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of patient information.
Must be proficient with Windows-style applications and keyboard.
Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals.
Good analytical skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Job Duties
Provides administrative, managerial and clinical direction to the department of Employee Health Services; assumes responsibility for program development and implementation; develops policies and procedures to ensure compliance with accrediting and regulatory agencies.
Assumes fiscal responsibility for System Employee Health.
Participates in multidisciplinary and institutional projects and committees; and actively participates as a member of the Human Resources managerial team.
Provides effective human resource management.
Directs activities to meet the expectations and needs of the internal and external customers.
Provides care based on physical, psycho/social, educational, safety and related criteria, appropriate to the ages of patients served in assigned areas, using approved medical practices.
Provides education experiences to patient families, staff, other health professionals, and the community, and may develop research methodology.
Follows up on patient care issues, including use of physician, nursing and/or administrative chain of command, and assists with patient complaints and requests for service.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Light Work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly (Constantly: activity or condition exists 2/3 or more of the time) to move objects. Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for Sedentary Work. Even though the weight lifted may be only a negligible amount, a job should be rated Light Work: (1) when it requires walking or standing to a significant degree; or (2) when it requires sitting most of the time but entails pushing and/or pulling of arm or leg controls; and/or (3) when the job requires working at a production rate pace entailing the constant pushing and/or pulling of materials even though the weight of those materials is negligible. NOTE: The constant stress and strain of maintaining a production rate pace, especially in an industrial setting, can be and is physically demanding of a worker even though the amount of force exerted is negligible.
Normal routine involves no exposure to blood, body fluid or tissue and as part of their employment, incumbents are not called upon to perform or assist in emergency care or first aid.
The incumbent has no occupational risk for exposure to communicable diseases.
Because the incumbent works within a healthcare setting, there may be occupational risk for exposure to hazardous medications or hazardous waste within the environment through receipt, transport, storage, preparation, dispensing, administration, cleaning and/or disposal of contaminated waste. The risk level of exposure may increase depending on the essential job duties of the role.
