Aerotek Leak Technician in New Lenox, Illinois

Leak Technician

Currently hiring a Leak Technician in the New Lenox, IL area. Hiring immediately.

Job Description

  • Evaluate leaks and install casings in various facilities.

  • Use an iPad to document measurements and dimensions of leaks.

  • Collaborate with the engineering team and machine shop for part creation.

  • Return to facilities to repair leaks and install casings.

  • Read and interpret blueprints.

  • Utilize hand tools and power tools for installations.

  • Conduct live repairs without shutting down lines.

  • Report to the maintenance shop in New Lenox and travel in the field across Illinois, Iowa, Wisconsin, Missouri, Michigan, Minnesota, and South Dakota.

  • Be on call every 3-4 weeks as a lead technician.

  • Travel with 1-2 assistant technicians.

  • Ensure a clean driving record.

  • Mechanical inclination.

  • Experience with hand tools and power tools.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Leak repair experience.

  • Field service experience.

  • Heavy equipment repair experience.

Work Environment

The work environment involves reporting to the shop in New Lenox and traveling to various facilities across Illinois, Iowa, Wisconsin, Missouri, Michigan, Minnesota, and South Dakota. Technicians will be home most nights of the year, with occasional overnight stays covered by the company. The role involves both indoor and outdoor work, and technicians must be prepared to work on live lines using hand and power tools. The standard working hours are from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, with overtime pay applicable for work performed outside these hours.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $79040.00/yr.
