Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team in New Hyde Park, New York. The ideal candidate will assist in managing financial transactions, verifying invoices, and maintaining accurate records to ensure seamless operations. Responsibilities:
• Verify invoices against receiving reports to ensure accuracy in part numbers, quantities, and pricing.
• Review vendor invoices for items requiring special treatment, including credits or other adjustments.
• Post approved invoices into the system and maintain organized filing of records.
• Update and distribute debit memos to relevant parties.
• Validate freight bills for incoming and outgoing shipments to confirm accuracy.
• Assist in reconciling accounts to ensure financial records align with company standards.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions efficiently.
• Perform data entry tasks with precision to maintain accurate financial documentation.
• Support billing processes by preparing and managing invoices.
• Utilize accounting software, such as QuickBooks, SAP, and Oracle, to complete tasks effectively. Requirements • Proficiency in account reconciliation, accounts payable, and accounts receivable processes.
• Familiarity with invoice processing and billing procedures.
• Strong skills in data entry and maintaining accurate financial records.
• Experience using Microsoft Excel and accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle.
• Ability to verify and analyze invoices and freight bills for accuracy.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with vendors and internal teams.
• Entry-level candidates with a willingness to learn and grow in the accounting field are welcome.
